We met Ann and Phong at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Melbourne, CBD on a rainy Saturday evening. I can vividly remember them walking up to our little table – Phong sporting a pretty manly stance – and inquiring about how we might be able to help them with their wedding. And also, not to mention, they quickly noted they are close friends with one of our dearest couples William and Marina (revisit and fall in love all over again with their wedding video by clicking HERE). It’s amazing how small the world has become.
We loved getting to know them and we’re so happy they decided on having us film and capture their wedding day.
For as much as we love filming weddings, we love hearing our couples stories. It’s always a delight to hear their own personal love story, how they met, what makes them a great couple, and how they knew they’d be together forever.
Ann and Phong got the luck of the draw when it came to their wedding day: a bright blue sky, colourful foliage, and pretty sunlight streaming everywhere. It was a perfect backdrop to the warm and loving festivities. The church ceremony was beautiful and the reception at Anabella Receptions was awesome (even including the hilariously questionable dance moves we witnessed). Whatever headaches you might have endured while planning, we know for a fact that they were all worth it.
We also had the privilege of filming their wedding video alongside the crazy-creative wedding photography team over at Alvin Wong Photography. Alvin and Mervyn, you guys ROCK! It was easily one of the best team work we’ve done this year! We can’t wait for the next one!
